He, She: My Kind of Guy

My "official" post about the topic My Kind of Guy. Hey Mina, will this do? :D

Things about me and My Kind Of Guy. ;)

His family is originally from Camarines Norte.
Her family is a mixture of Tagalogs and Ilokanos.

He stands 5'9".
She squeaks in at 4'11". In flats.

He adores her small face and fair skin.
She can't get enough of that bump on the bridge of his nose and those broad shoulders.

He loves his food a bit salty and doesn't care much about sweets or pastries.
She doesn't mind a little seasoning, but nothing that could damage the kidneys; she takes care of that sweet tooth.

He enjoys his graphic novels and PSP games (if he can find the time).
She doesn't know the first thing about either; well, except Watchmen, which was also influenced by him.

He appreciates travel only when he's in the airport and feels the anticipation and excitement of leaving.
She can't wait to hop on a plane and see a new place at the first opportunity.

He would accompany her to any movie she may want to see on the big screen, just not Tagalog ones.
She would never even ask.

He has learned how to be patient in traffic, especially when driving home to Laguna, because of her.
She has learned never to take advantage of his offers to drive her home because they have to save on fuel and toll.

He will eat anything she prepares.
She will cook anything he asks.

He understands her completely.
She tries to reciprocate.

He is her always.
She is his forever.

In her, he found his forever.
In him, she found her always.

I lifted this from our wedsite, where you can read more of the story about me and my kind of guy. ;)

Oh, and Mina is coming out with a new book soon, That Kind of Guy, published by Summit.

It will be out this month, and I'm hoping to get first dibs on it through this post! :) What is your kind of guy?

My kind of men:

Michael Fassbender (Shame, Jane Eyre)
James McAvoy (Atonement, X-Men)
Nicholas Hoult (A Single Man, About a Boy)
Ryan Gosling (Blue Valentine, Crazy Stupid Love)
Joseph Gordon-Levitt (50/50, 500 Days of Summer)

Wait, these are celebrity crushes?

PETER: Thank you! I think we are, too. :)

ANGUS: Of all the men you mentioned, the only one I like are Fassbender and McAvoy. :D

That's okay. "My Kind of Guy" covers anyone and everyone. Even celebrity crushes. ;)

TINA: Thankies! ;)

Sorry, had to delete my previous comment.

I just said that THIS is one of the best posts I've ever read in years. Actually, since I learned about the existence of the internet!!! I always loved married couple who are not at all alike, but still managed to make their relationship work. Really inspiring, Monique!

Hi Celester! :)

I'm pretty sure I've seen you around the FBB Facebook page; I just can't seem to find which blog is yours. My apologies; I will definitely look for it. :)

And, thank you very much! I truly appreciate it. My husband and I are alike in many ways, but different, too, in a lot more. We are blessed to have each other. :)

Thank you for visiting, and for the comment(s)! Hope to see you around again soon. :)

No need to apologize. :) My blog, though, is http://frompageone.wordpress.com/

It's really nice to know a little bit about your married life. :) And you're welcome. I'll definitely be coming back here in your blog every once in a while. :)
